Astis: Suede Beaded Glove Makalu

Displaying a creative beadwork band of reciprocal feathers across the back of the hand, these tan leather gloves are named for the fifth highest mountain in the world, Makalu.  It is located in the Mahalangur Himalayas 12 miles Southeast of Mount Everst.  Makalu, which stands 27,766 ft above sea level, is an isolated peak whose shape is a four-sided pyramid.

About the brand:

Astis leather gloves are hand-sewn in the USA from tan high-quality suede leather with hand-stitched beadwork on the wrist and are lined with Polartec® High Loft insulation. Working directly with a tannery in the USA, they developed a suede leather, injected with silicone during the tanning process for further waterproofing, that is extremely durable yet retains great dexterity.

As each leather glove is hand-sewn and uses natural materials, each leather mitten will possess slight variation in the look of the leather and beadwork. Astis embraces these subtle differences and views them as unique gloves more akin to works of art.
